About Me

Peter Scheid, CLU, LTCP, CASL, CLTC, was born into a NYLIC Family. Peter joined his father Cornie Scheid after Peter finished a tour of duty as a Military Police officer in the U.S. Army. Peter had the great pleasure of working with and learning from his dad who had been a New York Life Agent for 45 years when Peter joined him in 1974. They worked together until Cornie died in 1984.
Peter graduated from St. Lawrence University in 1971 with a BA in English. He and his wife Janet moved to Frankfurt Germany with their daughter Kirsten where Peter spent the next three years on active duty as an executive officer in an MP company.
Upon completing his military obligation, Peter returned to Cleveland Ohio where he joined the New York Life. The Scheid's second child Sarah was born in 1976. Kirsten currently lives in Beirut Lebanon with her two beautiful daughters Sariya and Naye. Sarah now lives in Cleveland Heights Ohio with her husband Ryan and her daughter the exceptional Emma. Xavier Ryan joined his sister Emma in September of 2003.  Polly Viola, named after Peter's mother and Ryan's father's mother joined the family in June 2006.  'Grandpa' is really enjoying his grandson as well as his four granddaughters.
Peter is active in his Church as well as his community. Most of his friends and clients have heard both the tales and the solicitations from Peter concerning his annual riding of the Pedal to the Point as a fund raising event for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
